When you are considering employment, there are many questions you find yourself asking. We've included some of the most common questions we receive every day.

Q: Do I need training or Certification?
A: Home Staff hires Certified Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Personal Care Attendants. Home Staff offers several training certification programs. If you have no training or Certification you may want to begin in the Home Staff Home Maker class. All employees are required to participate in the trainings necessary training to provide home care to our clients.
Q: Do I need a driver’s license?
A: Yes, Home Staff Employees are required to have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license. Each employee is required to transport themselves to and from client homes and have valid insurance coverage.
Q: Do I need to work weekends?
A: Home Staff expects employees to be somewhat flexible with their scheduling. Each employee should plan on working at least one weekend day per month.
Q: Can my children, family or friends come with me to meet the consumer or serve as a companion while I work?
A: No, under no circumstances should friends or family meet or know the consumers name or place of residence it would be a violation of our consumer’s privacy.
Q: Does Home Staff offer benefits?
A: Yes. Home Staff offers health insurance, retirement savings plans, disability and other benefits, based on eligibility. In addition to these benefits Home Staff provides training at no cost to the employee.
Q: Do you offer training?
A: Yes. Home Staff offers all employees all of the up to date and necessary training to safely provide home care to our clients.
Q: Can I make my own schedule?
A: Schedules are developed in the coordinating department and reviewed with each employee. An employees skill level, service area and shift availability are all considered during this process.
